CEO: Dave Durkee
ENKI's founder and CEO, Dave Durkee, has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology infrastructure, networking, business applications development, and cloud services. Dave held several senior management positions in Information Technology including CIO of Netsuite, ranked a global top 20 cloud services software company in 2012. Dave's executive corporate management background together with his broad experience in Information Technology consulting offers ENKI's customers a deep understanding of how cloud services can serve real business needs.
Dave has extensive experience with highly scalable enterprise application development and deployment on Microsoft and Linux platforms, including large client-server database applications. At NetSuite, Dave designed and managed the build-out of an award-winning million-customer data center based on multitier redundant arrays of servers and network-attached storage. Dave's experience in building NetSuite's IT infrastructure led directly to his founding of ENKI when he realized the tremendous value that could be created by enabling enterprises without the necessary skill set and capital to gain access to Virtual Private Data Center services similar to the best of breed, highly scalable, secure, and 4-nines reliable data center that he built for Netsuite.
Dave's passionate commitment to self-development has been the motivation behind founding ENKI on a basis of absolute integrity and true partnership with ENKI's employees and business partners.
COO: Eric Novikoff
Eric brings extensive technical and management experience to the table at ENKI. Eric has over 20 years of experience in the electronics and software industries, over a range of positions from integrated circuit designer to software/hardware project manager, to Director of Development at a cloud services software startup, Netsuite.com. Eric's technical, project, and financial management skills have been honed in multiple positions at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies on a variety of product lines, including managing the development and roll-out of a worldwide CRM and sales automation application for Agilent's $350 million Automatic Test Equipment business.
Eric has a strong interest in SME (Small/Medium Size Enterprise) management, process development, and operations based on his past work at a cloud service serving SMEs, and through his small-business ERP consulting work. ENKI's personal touch and consultative approach are a direct result of how Eric likes to work with ENKI's business partners. Like Dave, Eric's commitment to self-development and inquiry makes him a natural fit for ENKI's "personal" business style.
VP Sales & Marketing: Chris Poer
Chris brings to ENKI 25 years of experience across a wide range of companies and roles in the communications and network infrastructure industries. He spent the first 14 years of his career honing his technical and marketing skills at AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies in product management and development positions. For the last 11 years, Chris was focused on sales and marketing across a number of startup to midsized companies including Dynavar Networking, Iperia, and Connexius LLC. This wide range of experience enables Chris to understand both the technical and business challenges facing the business partners with which ENKI has relationships.
Chris joined ENKI to bring it to the next level of growth by designing and executing a sales and marketing plan that couples ENKI's personal touch with the company's extensive experience in cloud services and data center design and operations. Chris is looking to expand ENKI into vertical markets in which it has the necessary deep experience and can provide unique value such as serving healthcare and legal cloud services based application providers and small to medium-sized enterprises that value ENKI’s high quality and personal service. Additionally, Chris's value-based and team-centric approach to problem solving is a natural fit with the The ENKI Way.
Director of Operations: Danny Kim
As Director of Operations, Danny is responsible for both the physical infrastructure of our Virtual Private Data Center and Cloud Services portfolio as well as the Operations Services that we deliver to our clients. Danny brings over 14 years of Information Technology planning, engineering, execution, management, and learning to ENKI. As a mission focused technologist, he has the expertise to deliver productive solutions in a myriad of fields ranging from networking, telecommunications, data center infrastructure, cloud systems virtualization, to application deployment solutions. While serving as CTO for SRC Development Group, Danny was responsible for planning and negotiating large technology contracts for IT Infrastructure, green energy initiatives, and media delivery systems, providing a competitive edge to their development projects. As Director of Network Engineering for Global Telecom and Technology, he oversaw a global telecommunications network on three continents. At the startup WBS Connect, he developed and grew both the enterprise IT and production IT infrastructure as Director of IT and oversaw development of an ERP platform that enabled revenue growth of over 100 percent for three years consecutively.
In his free time Danny pursues his personal interests as a cook and gourmand while balancing it out with his dedication for fitness and health. Danny's commitment to producing high value and impactful solutions in a partner-focused approach, combined with his personal commitment to continually grow and incorporate the concepts of equality and impeccability into his own life, make him a great fit for the ENKI Way.
Chief Canine Officer: Enki
Enki is the namesake for our company and our inspiration. He embodies the loyalty, integrity, and courage that we aspire to in our relationships with our clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Enki hangs out at our corporate headquarters every day and makes sure that we keep our hearts and minds open - and take a break to walk him when we work long hours!
