A successful SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) startup experienced explosive growth and realized its leased server infrastructure was unable to reliably keep up with their growth. They looked into hiring a full IT department but due to a shortage of candidates, was unable to hire key staff including a CIO quickly enough to meet demand. They needed very high levels of reliability to support a 24x7 follow-the-sun clientele as well as the highest levels of security to meet financial certifications including PCI. While public cloud infrastructure would have been able to meet their needs very economically, the management team felt that the additional security and control of a private cloud would allow the to offer their clients maximum levels of confidence, while the outsourced IP and management of PrimaSys allowed them to quickly bring their private cloud up and avoid potential downtime.

Both the build and management of their PrimaSys private cloud were outsourced to ENKI.
PrimaSys managed private cloud eliminated the rush to hire staff, as well as reduced their long-term committed IT staffing levels
Challenge #3Customer needed short-term solution to datacenter capacity while their private cloud was being built, and then needed a viable DR solution once it was complete.
PrimaCloud offers public cloud computing compatible with the customers PrimaSys private cloud, allowing their in-house virtual data center to be prototyped in the cloud, and then backed up there.
Reduced risk of downtime during private cloud build as well as after deployment. Private cloud didn't need to be sized to include development and test activities since they could be placed in PrimaCloud.
